Our Catering Management service covers the vessel’s entire catering management needs such as recipe planning, menu management, health and nutrition, including ordering supplies, which all reduce vessel running costs. Clients who sign up to this service also receive the complimentary Catering Competency Development Programme.

Catering Competency Development Programme

This training package is designed to increase standards in the galley by training and supporting catering staff. It also provides access to an experienced team of consultants, regular vessel visits and weekly practical evaluations. Employing the right person for the job is key to ensuring a loyal, skilful and happy workforce. As part of this programme our clients receive the whole package when they sign up; from high standards of training both onboard and ashore, to evaluation of new and existing catering employees.

Need for Supply

Vessel identifies need for provisions order

Provision Requisition

Vessel makes official request for provisions to MCTC

Quotation

Supplier prepares and sends quotation for order request

Final Order

MCTC agrees final order with vessel and sends on to supplier

Delivery

MCTC co-ordinates delivery of goods to ship

Collaboration

Purchasing Consultant liaises with Culinary Training Consultant to ensure efficient guidance is given to the trainee in order for he/she learn how to use available provisions effectively.
