MCTC Signature dish with Saltgate Shipmanagement
We recently had the pleasure of spending a truly memorable afternoon with our friends at Saltgate Shipmanagement, cooking together in a fun and enriching experience. It was a great opportunity for both our teams to come together and collaborate on our Signature Dish initiative – recipes we develop alongside our clients to reflect their unique country, ethnicity, or company traditions. These collaborative dishes add a personal touch to our cooking events, celebrating each client’s cultural background and food preferences.
The day was filled with laughter, lively conversations, and a shared enthusiasm for learning, as we prepared two traditional Cypriot dishes: ‘Makaronia tou Fournou’ (Oven Baked Pasta) and ‘Portokalopita’ (Orange Pie). These dishes were carefully chosen to highlight the rich flavours of Cyprus. The ‘Makaronia tou Fournou’, with its layers of baked pasta, seasoned minced meat, and creamy béchamel sauce, was a comforting, savoury delight. Meanwhile, the Portokalopita, a sweet and citrusy orange pie, added the perfect finishing touch to our day.
“Our signature dish initiative is all about creativity and collaboration,” said Christian Ioannou, CEO of MCTC. “We work closely with our clients to create dishes that not only taste great but also tell a story, strengthening our connections through shared culinary experiences. Whether inspired by local ingredients, family recipes, or company traditions, these dishes bridge culture and cuisine.”
